Scrapbooking Question- The Past

Scrapbooking question:

If you’re going through and scrapbooking your life, and you come across some photos from a time of your life you’d kinda rather forget (maybe you had a run in later on with those friends, or it just wasn’t a super fun time of life, or whatever), what do you do?

Do you…

A) Include the photos (at least just a page of them) anyway, because you’re a stickler for a ‘complete’ album.

B) Just include all of them- they were a part of your life, embrace it.

C) Ignore them.

To put this into context. I use to be friends someone who I spent a LOT of time with, in a time of my life when I would take 100-300 photos EVERY time we went out somewhere. We’re not really friends anymore, so I’m not sure I want to fill up pages and pages of my scrapbook with memories of that person. I DO however want to remember the scenes/places/events we went to. I guess the fourth option is to just include pictures of me/other people, and keep the photos of those people minimal?

I would appreciate your thoughts on the question in general, and also to my specific context…! Thankyou. :-)

i’ve run into similar situations. either i’d use what photos i liked and tried to crop out the person in question, or only vaguely refer to the person on the page. because i’m not terribly fond of so-and-so, but she was a part of my life at one point.

There is always cropping the photo’s so the persons presence is minimised. I had a similar problem with our wedding photos, there were some people at my wedding I didn’t want there. They sort of invited themselves (fun of having an outdoor wedding in a public place), I choose not to include those photos in my wedding album. I don’t feel that it took anything away from our wedding album.

How rude of people to invite themselves to your wedding! Grrr…

I think I’m going to try and minimize them in the album, and just try to include the photos of other people who were at the events etc. :-)

  3. Minimise, or remove all together. The photos can live elsewhere {a photo box or similar}. That’s what I’d do. HOWEVER. I’m not a stickler for a complete album. Mine are all haphazard.

Yeah, I have all the photos on my computer, so it’s probably not important to include them in the scrapbook. There’s nothing stopping me from adding them again leter if I needed to, right?!
