Two days after Lior was born it was my Aunty’s 60th birthday. I had planned to stay in hospital a lot longer, but going to her party and introducing our brand new baby to so many of his extended family was too good an opportunity to miss. So we ventured out to the party after we’d checked out of the hospital.
I named this double page spread “Gatecrasher” because Lior was sort of an uninvited (but very welcome!!) guest. In this layout I divided the photo up into two categories- photos of Lior with people holding him, and then the photos of him snuggling with his Pa (my dad). My dad sort of nicked off with Lior, and we found them later having a nap together! So beautiful. So because they were from the same day I wanted the pages to be together, but I also wanted them seperate because the two photos with dad were of a different nature to the ones on the left page.
